We left camp at 1:30am with a temperature of 20°F.

We started seeing a little more as the sun began to come up.

Hard to see in the picture but there was a fair amount of steam comming from the area.

The flash went off while taking a picture in the steam vent.
That showed the steam but you can't see anything else.

Luke's feet dangling over a ledge that goes down about 50 feet before it curves further under the snow.
We were already about 15 feet under the surface of the snow.
