Personal Introduction Pictures 1990 through 1999

1991 - I was helping to open a new hotel (Emerald Springs).
The plastic wrap on the furniture was being thrown out as we
unpacked it. I decided to make a big ball out of some of
it.

1992 - Tijuana Mexico. Having a Tequila poured into your
mouth then having your head shaken is fun but disorienting.

1993 - Portrait done while taking family pictures

1994 - I used to donate platelets and blood quite a bit. I
even have my 5 gallon pin now!

1994 - For Halloween Tucker and Numa helped dress me up like The
Crow. I even died my hair black with what was supposed to
be a temporary dye. It didn't come out. I had black
hair for a few months until I had a talking to from my boss.
He told me my hair could be blonde or black but it couldn't be
both. So I tried to dye it back which turned into a mess
which resulted in me shaving my head to a short stubble.

1995 - The Dunes was imploded to make way for the Bellagio.
I was fortunate enough to be pretty close to it when it was
imploded. A girl l wanted to take some pictures and asked
if she could sit on my shoulders. This is one of the
pictures she got. Great timing to see the sign falling
with the pyrotechnics going off on it.

1995 - Some friends and I went to explore what was left of an
old gypsum cave/ mine.

1995 - I had learned to rappel using some old Army rope a friend
sold me. We were taught to use a standard D-ring as the
descending device and use a length of rope to tie for a seat
rather than use a harness. Things are a bit different for
me now, but it is nice to know what you can do with bare bones.

1996 - While visiting a friend in Kayenta Arizona, we made a
stop by the Four Corners.

1996 - Still visiting a friend in Kayenta Arizona we also went
to Monument Valley. Alison and her family took me to
places white man are not allowed to go unless escorted Indians.
I learned some things about the Indian culture on that trip.
They do have some interesting views and I like it.

1996 - 4 Wheeling in Aztec Wash.
We drove into Aztec wash and hung out for a while. Tucker
and I needed to leave earlier than the rest and took the same
route out that we took in. We ended up having my fuel pump
go out. Since the others took an alternate route out they
never found us. After walking through the desert for a few
hours and finally getting cell phone reception Kevin told me to
call back later because he was sleeping. He has yet to
live that one down. I will try to put up the full details
of the story sometime.
1997 - This was my cat, Impulse. He had an unusual way of
begging from me. I thought it was pretty cool so I just
let him do it.

1997 - Backpacking at Charleston with Ed. I was still
pretty new to backpacking then.

1997 - Ed and I at the Rainbow Gathering. The rainbow
gathering is an annual gathering of hippies from all over.
the location changes each year and usually occurs in a national
forest somewhere due to the enormous amounts of people. It
was a fun time. Not the type of life I would choose but
very cool to visit it for a while.

1997 - My family came over to check out my new house. Here
is a group photo.

1997 - Tucker took this picture of me and my dog Window at Oak
Creek. The water fall was flowing hard that day.

1997 - Window and I at Red Rock

1997 - My mom and I took Window to play in the snow. Her
feet got cold so I picked her up for a while to let them warm
up. Is that a pathetic look on her face or what?

1997 - Road trip with Leia up the California coat. We
stopped to see my family, her family, Alcatraz, Winchester
Mansion, Hurst Castle, Sequoia National Park and what ever
caught our eye. This is a picture of me along side the
road wearing a do rag.

1997 - Same road trip with Leia - Alcatraz

1997 - Same road trip with Leia. This was a sand castle we
built while hanging out at the beach.

1997 - Sleeping with Impulse after a Thanksgiving Dinner.

1997 - I never got really good but I did enjoy snowboarding for a
few years. I am not sure why but my desire to do that
seems to have faded to nothing. Along with my desire to
rollerblade. I have been a couple times since and have
lost all the feel of it. I feel like a newbie out there
again. It is a weird feeling. One of the fun things
to do was cruise through the trees.

Here is another picture from that same day.

1997 - Leia (my girlfriend at the time was into photography and
took this picture of my dog while we at the Rhyolite Ghost Town.
Since Window (my dog) was looking through a window it was an
interesting picture. It takes on new meaning after Leia
sepia toned everything in the picture except my dog.

1998 - Big Falls at Charleston with lots of snow around the
water fall. it does that every few years and is worth
checking out. you can travel under the snow pack where the
water has cut it away. but it doesn't seem very safe.
:) as you hike up you can hear water running under you
while walking on the snow.

1998 - Camping Rocky Gap Road. Ed and I hiked in and
backpack style camped. Some other friends came in later
with 4 wheel drives. we all sat at the concrete picnic
table that is literally out in the middle of nowhere for dinner.
nice place to hang out but you have to wonder why is there a
picnic table out there.
1998 - Me on Griffith Peak. I am pointing at Charleston
Peak over my right shoulder.

1998 - Just a picture I like of my cat Impulse.
1998 - This is a picture of Window and I on Charleston Peak.
We went up there in July to stay the night at 12,000 feet.
Even though it was July the night still dropped to the high 30's
or low low 40's. I was still new to backpacking so I
didn't have the lightest packing style. I also needed to
carry a lot of water since it was me and my dog for 2 days with
now water source. My pack weighed in at a whopping 70 lbs.
Luckily there was a day hiker at the peak to take a picture for
us.

1998 - Window and I ate Red Rock hanging out in a hollowed out
section of sandstone.

1998 - Ron, Window and I did a pack trip on the Bonanza Trail.
The last day we got rained on then hailed on. We were
ducking for cover as much as possible. Window was fun to
watch as she ran from tree to tree to keep from getting hit from
the hail. We could put something over our head when it got
bad. Window didn't have that option.

1998 - I joined some friends of mine to go to Mummy Peak (Mummy
Tummy) but we did not make it due to time constraints. I
returned a few weeks later to do it alone and made it to the
top. Nice hike but I did wish I had someone to share it
with.

1998 - Window and I took a road trip to California. Here I
am spinning here around while she holds onto a frisbee.

1998 - I went to visit Leia in Illinois. This picture was
taken at a fair they had at the time. I was there to see
small town America (Henry Illinois) during 4th of July.
Wow is it different than the big city. They really get
into it there. It is a good time. Too bad it isn't
like that here.

1999 - I was playing one day and colored my hair and beard blue
with some colored hair gel.

1999 - This is a group photo of family when hanging out at my
mom's house on Christmas eve.

1999 - By themselves they were nothing to worry about. Put
them together and you have Demolition Dogs. Coyn, Jenna's
(my girl friend at the time) dog would usually pick something up
and taunt Window (my black and white dog) with it. She
would grab it and the Tug-O-War was on. Once they got started
you would think they were out to kill each other.
But it was all just plain fun for them. The outcome if
they were left alone at home was not always fun for us.
These are the cushions from my love seat that were reduced to confetti.

1999 - (Demolition Dogs) She looks so proud doesn't she.
When I first saw this I was mad but could not stop laughing.
We eventually lost a chair, a bunch of blankets, a futon and the
love seat you see here. Over time they learned not to do
that.

1999 - Pet Triangle. I just thought this was a fun
picture.

1999 - Jenna and I took my nephew Robert to the park for an
Easter Egg hunt.

1999 - I had family over to my house for thanksgiving that year.

1999 - Here is a picture of me at work on the day of Christmas
Eve.
